Illness - When to postpone
Illness triage update - When we ask you to postpone
James, Charlotte and all the staff here at Brundholme Dental Practice would like to keep you informed with regards to the latest advice and practice policy.
We have put in a lot of work, making sure both you, our patients, and all of our staff are protected from not only COVID-19, but other illnesses whilst in the Practice. This includes high standards of PPE and enhanced procedures for cleaning. We aim to ensure maximum protection for all.
We may ask patients to postpone their appointments if they feel unwell or have tested positive for COVID-19 recently. This will not always be the case, so we would ask you to contact our reception team for advice if you should feel unwell and have an upcoming appointment. In line with set guidelines, we send triage questions out via e-mail the working day before an appointment and we may ask you to postpone your appointment if you, or anyone that has to attend with you, have had any of the following within the last 10 days:
- diarrhoea, nausea and/or vomiting;
- a new cough, sore throat, stuffy or runny nose
- a high temperature, fever, or chills
- unexplained tiredness, lack of energy or appetite
- muscle aches or pains that are not due to exercise
- a headache that is unusual or longer lasting than usual
- conjunctivitis
- a brown/red/blotchy skin rash
- spots inside the mouth
We are a medical setting and continue to see vulnerable members of the public, so need to protect those that are most vulnerable within the building for everyone's peace of mind. All routine dentistry is still essential to avoid potential problems in the future. This includes examinations (check ups), hygienist visits and most dental treatments.
Please email us if possible if you having anything you would like to discuss on brundholmedentalreception@outlook.com or call on 017687 72096.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
